How can we help?

If you're eager to kick off your rental experience tomorrow, make sure to place your order before 12 noon. For an absolute assurance of receiving your rental within 24 hours, we highly recommend opting for the DPD guarantee during checkout. This ensures a prompt delivery on the next working day.

If you have a specific future date in mind, simply choose the start date of your rental, and your parcel will arrive precisely on that day. However, our suggestion is to initiate your rental a day prior to your intended wear date for a seamless experience.

In the event of a fashion emergency requiring same-day delivery, reach out to us immediately at info@somethingborrowednl.com or via WhatsApp for swift assistance.

Please note: Our warehouse is closed on Saturday and Sunday.

We don't currently offer the ability to purchase styles in your one-time rental because they are likely reserved by other customers for future dates.

No, there is no deposit required for your rental, although If the item isn't returned, the full amount will be debited off your payment method. 

We advise you to do so as soon as possible, you can book your rental up to 90 days in advance!

Once your rental has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email.  - sit tight and wait for your delivery!

You should expect to receive your item the start date of your rental period. If there are any problems please contact us on whatsapp or email us at info@somethingborrowednl.com

We know it can be a challenge to figure out your size per designer that we make available. You will find on the description page of each item our recommendations in terms of body type which will best compliment the garment.

We have also added the measurements for most items, if you have any sizing or measurement questions please contact us on WhatsApp or by email for any help!

We know it can be a challenge to figure out your size per designer that we make available. In the event an item does not fit, if you reach out to us on the first day of the rental we will offer you a replacement to send to you for next day delivery!

If there is any damage or problem when receiving the item upon arrival, please contact us as soon as possible on whatsapp or email us at info@somethingborrowednl.com. You will receive a full refund.

Your rental must be returned by noon on or before the end date of your rental. Here are the steps of how to do so:

  1. Place the rental in the original packaging.
  2. Take the return label from inside the package and stick it clearly on the outside. Make sure the old shipping label is removed or covered.
  3. Drop your package off at your nearest drop off point on by noon latest or before the specified return date, making sure to keep proof of postage as this has your tracking number.

If you are interested in extending your rental, email us at info@somethingborrowednl.com at least 2 days before the end of your original return date. If the item is not booked out for those days - we will make it possible.

It's important that you return your rental within the rental period, as we have back-to-back rentals. 

If, for any reason, it looks like you can’t make your scheduled return date or you would like to discuss the extension of a rental, please contact us at info@somethingborrowednl.com  and let the team know your order number.

A late fee of the daily rental fee plus 25% will apply.

If you wish to cancel your order, please let us know straight away. We are able to cancel any orders up to 48 hours before your rental start date. Anytime after that, we won’t be able to cancel your rental.

You are responsible for safely returning your rented item(s) no later than the final date of your rental period. We also require our renters to keep the receipt of the return as the renter is liable for the full current value of the item in the case of loss or damage: 

  1. Place the rental in the original postage back.
  2. Take the return label from inside the package and stick it clearly on the outside. 
  3. Drop your package off at your nearest drop off point on or before the specified return date, making sure to keep proof of postage as this has your tracking number.

If your rental ends on a Sunday, just return it to your DPD drop point on the Monday before 12 noon.

If it ends on a Bank Holiday, check if your nearest DPD drop off shop is open. If not please return it to your DPD drop point the next day before 12 noon.

As a Renter, you are expected to treat rented items as if they are your own. We understand that accidents can happen, and don't want you to feel worried for any small stains/damages.

We have created our “Wear and Tear’’ add-on to help give you peace of mind. If anything happens, please immediately contact us on Whatsapp or email info@somethingborrowed.com.  The better you manage the situation, the faster we can help you resolve it.

If you haven’t chosen to pay for damage protection and if the item is damaged beyond repair, lost, stolen or the repair costs more than €50, Something Borrowed reserves the right to charge you for the total estimated replacement value of the item.

Renters can opt to purchase damage protection for €7 when requesting a rental. Damage protection covers the cost of repairable damage such as a broken zip, missing beads, stain removal to give you peace of mind when renting.

What’s not covered?

  1. Damage beyond repair
  2. Loss of item due to carelessness, theft or other

In the event of irreparable or excessive damage and/or loss, the Renter would be liable to cover the total estimated market value of the item, at the discretion of the Something Borrowed team.

Lending/Managed FAQ

As part of the managed service, you will receive 20% of the rental price each time your item is rented out.

As a lender, you will receive 80% of the rental price each time your item is rented out.

Both will be paid out on the last day of the month.

As a lender, ensure your items are clean, free of damage, and provide clear images of the front and back of the item, as well as any additional information like how it fits.

As part of the managed service, contact us with the items you want to list, and we will take care of the rest. We will upload the items, ensure there are high-quality images, and have them cleaned before they are rented.

All our customers must complete an ID verification before they are able to rent an item. We also offer damage protection as an add-on to ensure your item doesn't get damaged. Additionally, we collaborate with collection agencies in the event of any issues.

We offer damage protection as an add on that covers basic wear and tear. If the renter hasn't chosen to pay for damage protection and if the item is damaged beyond repair, lost, stolen or the repair costs more than €50, Something Borrowed reserves the right to charge the renter for the total estimated replacement value of the item.

When we add new stock, we check the quality of the items and ensure they fit with our current stock and meet the needs of our customers.

As a lender, use secure, waterproof packaging. Pack delicate items in suitable boxes. Ensure packaging is tightly secured with cable ties or tape if necessary. Remove any previous postage labels.

If you are part of the managed service, you don't need to worry about this.

The minimum lending period is 3 months. If you need your item back in the meantime, please contact us. If it's not rented, we can ship it to you.
